Mexico City’s Own Penelope Menchaca

The city of Mexico has been the mother land of hundreds of stars that are now successful in different areas of the arts all over the world. One of these big stars is Penelope Menchaca. She was a great classical ballet dancer in the city of Mexico, so big that she went on tour all over the world. At first, dancing was all she wanted to do, but what we want to be as kids, is not always what we want to be as adults. Penelope Menchaca changed her mind, and although she loved to dance, she started developing an interest in a career as a singer. She joined a Mexican singing group named Las Nenas when she was just 19 years old and had a rewarding singing career for over 10 years. She was actually singing when she was discovered by the producers of a TV Show. The producers wanted her to host an afternoon show for one day and was fabulous, so great that they wanted her to continue hosting the show. So now the girl who dreamed of becoming a dancer, decided to be a singer, and then without even looking for it, developed a successful career as a TV Host. She has always been a beautiful, elegant and talented woman, and for someone with all those attributes, nothing is really impossible, nothing is even that hard. Doors have opened and closed, only for bigger doors to open for her.

She has been a very successful person, since she was a child with her classical ballet dancing skills. She´s now the mother of two beautiful girls, and was happily married for several years, but things didn’t turn out well and she and her husband divorced. Most people know her for her successful dating game TV Show that put her in the spotlight, the name of the TV Show was “12 corazones”, which means “12 hearts”. This dating game was a fun game that mixed astrology and fun minded and practical games in order to narrow it down to two people, that would hopefully become a couple by the end of the show. The show was very popular in Mexico, United States and several Latin American countries.

This is a story that has a lot of motivation behind it because sometimes we believe we should only stick to out one original dream and then we discard lots of opportunities that pass us by. We should focus on achieving a goal, a dream, or whatever we have set our minds to get, but we should enjoy the ride. Enjoying the ride also means paying attention to the little details and the opportunities that can show up along the way.
